We Live In An Extraordinary Time in Human History
We are more globally connected than ever before, but life in the digital age is far from ideal.
The average American spends more than half of their waking life staring at a screen. The negative psychological, social and cultural impact is real. Things need to change.
Our ability to stay balanced in this time of exponential technological growth, and create healthy relationships with our digital devices, will determine the future of humanity.
Developing a new code of ethics around technologies, creating social etiquette, setting positive cultural norms, and raising awareness around harmful habits while sharing the importance of mindfulness is urgent.

Developing a new code of ethics around technologies, creating social etiquette, setting positive cultural norms, and raising awareness around harmful habits while sharing the importance of mindfulness is urgent.
This is our opportunity to set the stage for future generations and celebrate our humanity along the way.
Together, we’ll redefine what it means to be connected.
What We Do
We provide individuals, families and companies the opportunity to put aside their digital arm, gain perspective, and reemerge with new found inspiration, balance and connection. Whether on the yoga mat or around the dinner table, in an office or a conference room, while hiking through the woods, playing capture-the-flag or learning a new dance for a talent show… we create experiences that change lives.
About Us & Our Story
Digital Detox® is a slow-down, not a start-up.
Our mission is to inspire, educate and empower our collective generation to create more mindful, meaningful,
and balanced lives, both online and off.
We give people the permission to pause, reflect and reconnect with what’s most important to them.
We exist to help people take big deep breaths, question their tech-use, develop mindful habits and remember to look up.
We are a movement dedicated to creating a world that we believe will make our grandkids proud.
We think deep, work smart and play harder.
We are now accepting applications for our Volunteer/Fellowship Program. 10 passionate, committed, balanced, driven, playful, and smart-working dynamic individuals will join our team at the Digital Detox and Camp Grounded headquarters for 12 weeks of creativity, community, hard-work, tons of first-hand experience and shared learning.
Together we will work to inspire a world where people pause to breathe deeper, get their hands dirtier, laugh easier, play harder, and dance longer. We will create a space that gives people permission to pause, rest, reflect and remember how to enjoy living life in the moment. Our job will be to remind people that looking into each other’s eyes is more important than looking into their screens, and that exchanging deep conversation is more valuable than exchanging business cards or contact information. Get ready to help others remember that who they are is not what they do, and that FOMO, multi-tasking and burnout are not healthy ways to live. We have a collective responsibility to bring balance into the equation of daily life and provide people with the support, community and resources needed to stay grounded. This is a new chapter and creating healthy relationships with our technologies will determine the future of our humanity.
At Digital Detox, we believe in human power and the potential of individuals that come together to form a movement. We pride ourselves on investing in our team to ensure our collective and individual success and sustainability. Fellows will receive mentorship from our executive staff, engage in weekly meetings, and have access to networking opportunities and professional skill – development during and after their fellowship.
